LONDON, UK (Tuesday, November 7, 2023) – London’s stunning 100 Wardour St, once the world-famous Marquee Club, will play host to the 2024 running of The Race Media Awards.
Having undergone a dramatic transformation, 100 Wardour St is now one of the city’s top entertainment spaces, making it the perfect place to hold the third iteration of the only awards that celebrate excellence in motorsport marketing, comms, and PR.
The awards will take place on Wednesday, January 24, and will be hosted by the brilliant American comedian and motorsport fan James Coker. Coker has made himself a social media star with his satirical take on the world of F1, while his background on the New York improv scene means he’s fully equipped to keep the 200-plus guests entertained.
James Coker said: “I’m so excited to be hosting The Race Media Awards in January. There are so many incredibly talented people who work behind the scenes to highlight the human element of motorsport. There is an entire industry of storytellers working in racing who help craft narrative and create emotional stakes for motorsport fans all over the world. These awards are about honouring and highlighting them, and I’m honoured to be a part of it. Also, I will do my best to be funny, but I make no guarantees.”
Established in 2022, The Race Media Awards have become a unique and prestigious part of the motorsport world, crowning winners as diverse as Extreme E, the Alfa Romeo F1 team and Racing Pride.
Entries for 2024 close on December 7. The Awards are free to enter and free to attend, and there is a full independent jury, ensuring each of the eight awards are won purely on merit.
This year’s judging panel comprises Spotify Entertainment Category Development Officer, EMEA, Mags Zielinska-Banks; Team GB Marketing Strategist, Claudia Mestre; and Sky Sport F1 reporter Ted Kravitz.
