LONDON, UK (Tuesday, April 23, 2024) Entrants to The Race Media Awards will have three brand new categories to contest as the only awards for motorsport marketing, PR and communications continues to grow.
After three successful ceremonies, to reflect feedback and represent wider industry trends, The Race Media Awards have created three new awards:
- Race Promoter of the Year
- Best Documentary
- Rising Star
RACE PROMOTER OF THE YEAR is open to the promoter of any motorsport competition held anywhere in the world, including online. This category celebrates those who create unforgettable race events for an ever growing fanbase that seeks top level entertainment from live motorsport.
Entrants will need to demonstrate why their event was a success for competitors and sponsors, show how it delivered for the audience, and the impact it created on the wider community.
BEST DOCUMENTARY is open to all creators of motorsport-based documentaries across film, TV, audio or online. This category celebrates the skilled storytellers that communicate narratives that go beyond the race results to draw in audiences old and new.
Entrants will need to demonstrate the quality of storytelling that they achieved, the audience sentiment for the work and any new and revealing information discovered during its creation.
RISING STAR highlights talented individuals under 30 who are making a big impact across motorsport marketing, PR or communications. This category shines a light on those bringing fresh concepts, passion and ingenuity to motorsport, and will celebrate the very best people destined to become future industry leaders.
Entrants will need to showcase their body of work, the impact it has had and the breadth of their creative input into the process. It is open to anyone aged under 30 as of December 31, 2024.
As part of the changes for 2025, Best Live Event has now evolved into BEST LIVE EXPERIENCE to reflect the wide breadth of unique experiences available both on and off track around motorsport, as fans engage through pop-up events, exhibitions and more. This award now complements the more race event-oriented Race Promoter of the Year category.
The Race Media founder and CEO, Andrew van de Burgt, said: “Over the past three years The Race Media Awards has got bigger and better, attracting more and more entries and more attendees to the event itself. In keeping with this, we have expanded the number of awards to reflect changes taking place in the market, and to create an even bigger buzz around the awards. I can’t wait to see the quality of entries we receive for these exciting new awards.”
The ten categories for The Race Media Awards 2025 will be as follows:
- Brand of the Year
- International Agency of the Year
